Carbon Reverie is a Detroit-based tattoo artist and painter specializing in floral and ornamental tattoos, and symbolic paintings. A self-taught artist, she has worked professionally as a painter since 2014 and began tattooing in 2022, bringing a deeply developed artistic foundation into her tattoo practice.
Carbon Reverie is a contemporary figurative painter whose symbolic works draw on comparative theology and anthropology to investigate the visual languages of sacred experience across cultures. Through painting and tattooing, she explores the human figure as a site where symbolism, ritual, and cultural memory intersect.
Rather than subscribing to a single belief system, she investigates these traditions as expressions of human experience, exploring the universal questions that shape identity, consciousness, and humanity's relationship to the unknown.

Tattooing for me is a ritual by nature. I'm focused on creating custom tattoo designs that prioritize my client’s happiness, comfort, and safety. This tattoo is for you. From the consultation to the tattoo session, my goal is to create a cozy and fun experience, ensuring that your session is as meaningful as the tattoo itself.
I believe that tattooing is a deep energetic exchange, and I invite you to use it as a tool to connect deeply with your body. You may notice emotions or new thought patterns emerging throughout the process, and I encourage you to take notice of them without judgment. No matter the meaning of the tattoo for you, I am happy to support your self-expression.

All of my inks are vegan.
